Dr Jamie Hwang

Jamie graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and obtained his FRACGP fellowship in 2000. Since graduating from UQ, Jamie has spent 22 years working as a GP. He has been a member of our practice for 17 years.
Although he sees himself as a generalist GP, Hwang’s work has entailed a focus on preventative health, chronic disease management, men’s health, dermatology issues and travel medicine.

Dr Hwang also specialises in using our MoleMax Machine for in depth Skin Checks.

Dr Leon Kondos is the Director of Merthyr Medical Centre.

Leon graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. Leon has been practicing in the New Farm area for over 30 years. As an experienced GP, Leon’s work has entailed a focus on preventative health, chronic disease management, mental health, sexual health, men’s health, dermatology issues and travel medicine. Leon also has extensive experience in drug and alcohol rehabilitation medicine and has been the head medical practitioner at QAIAS (Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Alcohol Service) for over 30 years.

He has been a member of our practice for the last 10 years. Dr Vo specialises in using our new Ear Suction machine for better removal of ear wax.

Kate Di Prima is an accredited practicing Dietitian for over 27 years, provides nutritional assessment, counselling and lifestyle coaching for a range of health issues. Kate has a special interest in, paediatric and family health, allergies, weight management, diabetes, gastro-intestinal problems, heart disease, liver and kidney disease.

She has been a spokesperson for the Dietitian Association of Australia for the last 12 years which has put her at the forefront of best practice and current trends. She writes weekly columns including one for Body and Soul magazine excerpt distributed throughout Australia in News Corp’s Sunday papers. She also consults to food industry providing expertise in the production and marketing of healthy food to Australians and have recently become a Board Director on the national board of Nutrition Australia.

Kate’s work also involves research, education, community nutrition and international development projects. She has written cook books and co-authored ‘More Peas Pleases – Solutions for feeding fussy eaters’.

Kate is available every Thursday and alternating Saturdays.
